Today was crazy. I know there is people who thinks dogs are just dogs but I would have never thought the situation is that bad. I am writing this because I got hit by a bicycle and the guy did not even stop when he hit me. How is this even possible?! I am a living soul on this earth and I have feelings. I must add I was properly on the leash and he simply did not stop nor slow down..

I guess I understand all women now - shopping is exhausting!

Made by Martti Sooman You probably know I am awfully cute but what you don't know and what might be shocking is the fact that I can make a scary face. More over I can make a fears sound that goes with it. However, I am not an angry dog but sometimes I get into conflicts between my friends. I guess I have 5 truly good friends and with others I don't really even have the will to play anymore. But you know what they say - you can't have too many good friends :) Anyhow, what often surprises me is that dog owners freak out so easily when we play outside. Specially, when there is a conflict between dogs, they start to come between us but we want to solve it the only way we know how – through displaying dominance and aggressive behavior. The more dominant dog will defend her role to maintain her power. If the owner takes the dog away before we can finish our solving process then we might be angry at each other forever.  Just thought to share my amusement :)

You have no idea how I was played today. Lets start from the beginning. Morning was nice and as far as I understood they took me to a very long walk. It was extremely nice because we are not going that way often and I had a lot to smell around.  From far I noticed a dog supplies store - amazing. But we walked past it.. I was truly confused. Anyhow, we entered to the place were I smelled food so I already forgot the toy possibility. Everything happened so fast. Suddenly I was on the table and my human is feeding me snacks, let me be clear, my favorite snacks and A LOT. I thought maybe it is some holiday in Estonia but this thought vanished when one guy came next to me with a needle. I finally understood, I was at an animal doctor and I got my shot. How rude is to trick me like this. Don't you think?! At least I got a candy stick and more snacks then usually so I guess it was kinda okay. On the way home I got to dive into bi...

Today I thought to share a nice coffee place with you. Totally love it because I can go inside and everybody is super friendly. :) These kind of coffee places are excellent to have because if we take long walks my humans get frozen due to our climate in Estonia. However, if we can buy something hot to drink on the way this gives us both happiness - they are warm and I get to be outside longer. I believe the creator of this place has a dog..

Why beagles shake themselves often you ask? We shake full body immediately after meeting a new dog, after ending a play session and after returning from a walk. I mean the same shake we do when we get out of the water. The reason is simple - it is a re-set mode for us. This shaking dance is anti-stress dance. :) I usually shake after wrestling with another dog. Check next time at the playground, when playing ends, both dogs will do the full body shake. Play might end completely after the shake and both can simply walk off to find something new and thrilling. Or, they can continue playing.  In many cases, the body shake is ending signal to find next activity.

Today I was just wondering have you ever thought why dogs are so happy when you come home?! The reason is totally simple. When you think about 1 dog year which equals 7 human years can't you simply understand how few hours away  from your pet affect your dogs? It feels like many weeks you have not been home  and due that we always make a happy dance/song when our humans come home :)
